The Brunch Club

There are few feelings more crushing than finally surfacing from a weekend stupor and braving the outside world for a plate of medicinal brunch only to discover that all the menus you want to eat from expired a couple of hours ago. There are times when a shift to a day menu of pasta, sandwiches or burgers simply won’t cut it. What you need is breakfast food, no matter what time of day it is.

The Brunch Club on Old Dumbarton Road gets it, and has got you covered. They do the classic cooked breakfast of course – available in veggie and vegan too – but also pancakes, waffles, topped French toast, five different twists on eggs benedict, acai bowls; you name it, they've got it. Basically, any breakfast you've seen on Instagram, they’re doing a version of that dish every day of the week right up until 5pm.

The space is roomy and relaxed, and the staff have got to know the regulars quickly, giving the place a real neighbourhood feel. And if it’s a hair of the dog type breakfast you’re after, the place is BYOB too. What’s not to like?
