The Skinny is back!

We are thrilled to announce a new partnership between Scottish arts charity Outer Spaces and our publisher Radge Media CIC to secure a future for The Skinny.

This partnership will enable The Skinny’s vital work of documenting Scotland’s art and culture ecosystem, providing a platform for writers and editors in Scotland, and supporting artists and organisations over the last two decades to continue. Under the agreement, Outer Spaces will acquire the shares in Radge Media to stabilise operations and secure a future for the company, which also publishes Fest and GNAW magazines. Radge Media CIC will retain full editorial control over its publications.

Outer Spaces is an artist support and development organisation that provides a network of over 1200 artists across Scotland with rent-free temporary studio provision and a programme of professional development opportunities, commissions, exhibitions, residencies and awards. Central to Outer Spaces’ ambition is to support Scotland’s art ecology in ways that matter to artists. This new partnership will not only complement the support Outer Spaces provides artists but will allow a vital part of Scotland’s cultural infrastructure to continue its valued work.

Both Outer Spaces and Radge Media CIC are committed to empowering our creative communities, supporting the people creating art and building culture across Scotland. This agreement is a product of synergy and mutual admiration, as well as the two organisations’ shared belief in the power and importance of art, desire to remove barriers to access, and joint aim of building a resilient, ambitious and confident arts ecosystem for Scotland.
