Pollok Ex-Servicemens Club

Located directly opposite Crossmyloof station (yeah, *snigger*) on Titwood Road (oh, c'mon...), the Pollok Ex-Servicemens Club is normally the reserve of, surprise surprise, ex-servicemen. But in attendence are other paying members too, and it's quite the wee music venue we'll have you know.

However, when the regular punters aren’t going about the essential business of domino tournaments, scrabble championships and other tremendously worthwhile pursuits, the unassuming hut will occasionally play host to a variety of gigs and club nights. It's all very exciting - sort of a village-fête vibe, except with way better music.

Admittedly, the cheery interior is more likely to remind you of your granny’s caravan than a typical Glasgow gig-venue, but it offers a warm and friendly space to party in in a much-neglected part of town. A night of particular merit include Southside Soul, a night of 70s soul, motown and R&B hosted by the excellent DJ Felonious Munk.
