Biggars Music

Established in 1867, Biggars Music is Glasgow’s longest established piano, instrument and sheet music store. It's home to The Music Practice, a music school and practice facility that teaches a wide variety of instruments from beginners level upwards. And, if you don’t want to buy the instrument, they run a borrow scheme (with the exception of pianos).

Located downstairs is a beautiful show room packed with guitars, keyboards, brass, woodwind, orchestra strings, amps, folk instruments and all manner of accessories. At street level the coffee shop provides a social space for after lessons and a good place to mull over a musical purchase. Even if you’re not in the market for a violin, the homemade tray bakes and relaxed atmosphere are a welcome escape from the corperate coffee shops along Sauchiehall Street.
