The Raven

The Raven can be found on Renfield Street, slap bang in the city centre of Glasgow and a stones throw away from trains, buses and taxis, making it a popular watering hole for both post-work pint lovers and the student crowds. 

There’s always a good atmosphere, more akin to a buzz at weekends, when the TGIF feeling is tangible and the drinks are in full flow. It’s also worth bearing in mind that it’s deceptively spacious, so don’t be alarmed by the crowded bar and booths as you walk in, your chances of finding a space are higher than most other bars in the immediate area. 

It’s inarguably trendy by city centre standards, with a stellar selection of craft beers as well as a plethora of wine and spirits to choose from. However, it’s also laid-back and family friendly with a fresh and tasty food menu suited to all, with generous portions of everything from chicken wings to salads, burgers, hot dogs, burritos and sandwiches. Friendly and knowledgeable staff are on hand to make recommendations and a full meal costs between £6 and £15 depending on how far you want to push the boat out. 

There are TVs dotted around the place too for live sport fans (or those awkward breaks in conversation where you don’t quite know where to look) and it’s a popular venue to book for functions with buffet options available and another bar tucked away upstairs.
