Stan's Studio

Stan's Studio is Glasgow's very first pay what you want cafe. A compact little cafe/art studio hybrid, it's the brainchild of artist Sarah Stanley, who converted half of her studio into a dinky cafe, in order to provide the masses with first-rate coffee (and help subsidise her studio fees). The space is decorated with her own work, and has a stripped-back, homely feel, with hand-written menus sitting atop chipboard tables. Everything on the menu is locally sourced – soups and homemade ginger ale come from the cafe's own kitchen, coffee is from independent Edinburgh roasters Mr Eion, and sweet treats come from southside cake-makers Bakery 47.
