Almost Famous NQ

Almost Famous is a burger joint in in Manchester's Northern Quarter. Specialising in burgers and booze, it's one of the most popular places to eat in the Northern Quarter and one of the best places to get a burger in Manchester. Perfect if you want a good feed, the menu offers American style burgers, chilli dogs, fries, desserts, cocktails and more.

Now with two restaurants in Manchester (the other one is in the Great Northern Warehouse) and another two in Liverpool and Leeds, Almost Famous is slowly expanding its expire and becoming one of the most popular restaurant chains in the north of England. 

Be prepared to wait for a table as Almost Famous doesn't take bookings and it can get really busy at evenings and weekends. However, if you can't be seated straight away you can have a drink in the bar while you wait. There's no sign outside and you have to go up a staircase to get to it so it's easy to miss if you haven't been there before - all part of its quirky charm! [Laura Maclean]
