Previous winners of the King of Curry Awards, Akbars serves up tasty classic Indian food, as well as authentic South Indian cuisine. If you're a curry lover; this is the place to be — although as one of Manchester’s most loved Indian restaurants, this place gets busy often. They don’t take reservations so if it does get busy expect a wait. You won’t be hanging around in a cold doorway though — you’ll be able to take advantage of their comfy bar area while you wait for your table. Akbars is one of a chain of twelve restaurants across the country, and you’re likely to find your favourite Indian dish here as the menu is full of plenty of favourites, as well as some specials — the prices are cheap but the food is quality.
