Lucha Libre is a Mexican restaurant just off Bold Street, next door to FACT. It's one of the many independent restaurants in the Bold Street area, which in recent years has become a hub of cool places to eat and drink in Liverpool.

The chefs at Lucha Libre describe the food as authentic Mexican rather than 'Tex Mex' and while the menu takes inspiration from classic Mexican dishes, it also gives them a unique comtemporary twist. You can choose from a wide selection of burritos, tacos and enchiladas and if you can't decide what to order, we'd suggest ordering a sharing platter for two so you can get a little taste of everything.

The atmoshere has a distinctly shabby chic feel with old film posters on the walls, lights hanging from the ceiling in jam jars and good music. The cocktails here are particularly good so make sure you accompany your meal with something from the impressive cocktail menu. And if you're not drinking, the delicious fruit smoothies certainly won't disappoint either.

Lucha Libre was named one of the best international cuisines in the North West in The Skinny Food and Drink Survey 2015. Check out the other winners as voted for by The Skinny readers and read a feature on all of our 'best international cuisine' winners.

Lucha Libre was also named as a winner in the Best of the Americas category in the North West in The Skinny Food and Drink Survey 2014. Check out the other winners as voted for by The Skinny readers and read our feature on all of the winners of our international food vote.
