The Crafty Pig

The Crafty Pig is the latest incarnation of what was previously LUAC on this prime piece of Great Western Road real estate. Run by the same people as LUAC and the guys behind Lebowskis, The Crafty Pig boasts an interior that is stripped back and casual, not dissimilar to another of their joints, The Finnieston. Gone are the sleek colours and lines of LUAC - The Crafty Pig is all about exposed bricks and woodwork, with some jaunty comic book-inspired artwork on the walls for good measure. These guys are a self-proclaimed 'brewhouse and smoke pit', with the motto 'BBQ and burgers just got serious.' What sets them apart from the many other burger joints in Glasgow? The doughnut burger, that's what! Yup, that's a burger sandwiched between two halves of a sugared doughnut. Elsewhere on the menu, the focus is on locally sourced meat (everything comes from a farm in Lanarkshire), and the drinks list is comprised almost entirely of craft beers, with 14 on draught and 60 bottled beers, which are on rotation according to customer feedback.
