Go east to Bowlers Bar. Situated on the edge of Glasgow Green, it’s absolutely ideal for a post-stroll refreshment – and with drinks as cheap and cheerful as you’d expect from your friendly local, its easy on the ol' purse zips too.

With a traditional layout of bar and lounge, Bowlers hits the sweet spit between old man pub and cool new gaff. The interior is anything but old man too – sleek black walls and bar complemented by chic white woodwork, exposed brickwork and hundreds of posters announcing upcoming gigs. Speaking of which, the live music schedule at the bar itself can be pretty sparkly too. In recent times, the venue has seen the likes of Hector Bizerk and Withered Hand plugging into its amps.
