Red Sky Bar

Glasgow’s newest design hotel Radisson Red is located directly opposite the Hydro, a few steps back from the city’s iconic crane. The forecourt walls are decorated with cartoons and sketches by none other than Glasgow’s proud son Frank Quietly. His real signature still lurks on the wall by the lift as you glide up the levels to the top floor bar and roof terrace.

Red Sky Bar is open to anyone, guests or otherwise, and looks out over the water. There’s a real who’s who of Glasgow landmarks to gaze out at as you merrily clink glasses and forget about the bill you are racking up on the expensive cocktails. The cocktails and wine list are both as good as you would expect from a place of this calibre. There’s lots to enjoy that is not prohibitively expensive too, such as £3 beers and £5 glasses of wine. It ends up feeling like a bargain when they come with such an impressive cityscape thrown in for free.
