Need to find your disco fix? Luckily, there's Daddy Cool's next door. In terms of dance and techno clubs in Glasgow, Sub Club and La Cheetah are your guys. Cheetah's even got a bar and grill attached, and we'll be damned if you can think of a better combo than grilled meats and electro beats. (Deepest apologies for the rhyme. It was irresistable.)
When it opened, The V Club was focused on electro, dance, techno and disco. Previously the Beat Club, V had a pretty successful run of it until its closure. With two floors, it offered a decent mix of genres to its clubbing punters. With its outdoor smoking terrace, It also took care of those craving tobacco (or just those desperate for a gulp of fresh air before submerging themselves back into the beats). What's more, there was usually a programme of good guests and residents lined up in 09.
The venue remains a club. Trading under the moniker Cult, it serves up a big ol' hunk of rock music on the reg.
