Demijohn

Demijohn on Bryes Road is Glasgow's only liquid deli, with the narrow shop reminiscent of an ancient apothecary – with the shelved walls supporting row-upon-row of large glass demijohns. Each demijohn is filled with locally sourced oils, vinegars, wines, spirits and liqueurs available for purchase in a range of bottles and measurements. Their products include such delicacies as strawberry vinegar, Seville orange gin and red chilli rapeseed oil.

A pleasure to visit, Demijohn want your experience to be truly unique, and so shoppers are encouraged to taste the products before they buy. You can select your own bottle from a range of shapes and styles and they'll even write a message or label on the bottle free of charge. All the products in Demijohn's ever changing stock are accompanied by hand-written cards detailing the products history, suggested food matches and unique ways to enjoy their produce. Fruity liqueurs drizzled over ice cream is a popular recommendation, which sounds too decadent to not be tried immediately!
