Hannah Maclure Centre

To be found on the top floor of Abertay University's student union, Hannah Maclure's unique exhibition space offer what they describe as 'a sociable approach to experiencing art, film and performance'. Providing a platform for pioneering artistic talent – sourced both locally and internationally – the space encourages a local audience to appreciate and debate new artists' work.

The 72-seat cinema is often used in conjunction with an artist exhibition, along with its use as a vehicle for innovative film screenings, workshops, and by the university itself.

Additionally, the centre is a not-for-profit venue. This enables the centre to ensure that the films they show, and the artists they exhibit are all carefully selected to encourage creativity and thought. The addition of a coffee bar and adjoining roof-top terrace allows visitors to enjoy the pleasing views of Dundee city. Exhibitions are open to everyone unless stated otherwise, and all are free of charge.
