The Lawn Club

Like a catwalk show, Spinningfield’s offerings tend to change with the seasons - and for S/S ‘14, The Lawn Club is taking centre stage. Occupying prime people-watching space in the centre of the business district (y’know, the green bit where luvvies sit on yellow deckchairs, wearing Dior sunglasses), this year’s outdoor bar is planning for a Manchester summer. And by that we mean there’ll be both a retractable roof and open fires; after all, you never can tell this side of the Pennines. There’ll be cocktails, craft beers, sharing platters, small plates, large plates, small bowls, medium sized bowls - oh, you get the drift. Come one, come all - they do a bit of everything to keep the people happy. You know it’s hard to resist the urban greenery’s pull once the sun’s shining. [Anna Tully]
