A major part of the Leeds city centre facelift has been the building of the Trinity shopping centre – a large semi-indoors mall featuring brand name shops including Urban Outfitters, LEGO and, of course, a Marks & Spencer.
It’s not just shops that fill the recently opened project, though, as the Trinity Kitchen provides a distinctively modern approach to the food court. You won’t find greasy multinationals here; replacing the sticky floors and grey food substances are some of the best local food carts and companies from across the city.
Pop-up shops from favourite local street food traders sit alongside permanent fixtures like Chicago Rib Shack and Pho, meaning that, while there’s a touch of gentrification to this aspirational market place, there's a wide range of high quality food from Vietnamese and fish ‘n’ chips through to stone baked pizzas. You’re spoilt for choice in this chic new food court. [Edy Hurst]
