Yorkshire has a proud reputation as the birthplace of the balti in Bradford, and throughout the West Riding area you’ll find many an establishment offering some of the country’s best in South Asian cuisine. As you might expect, in line with Leeds’ current hipsterfication, the craft revolution has also set up shop for those in search of fine beers plus Indian food.
A joint venture between Prashad and The Sparrow Bier cafe, Bundobust declares itself a bar serving Indian street food rather than a restaurant. Expect lashings of pale ale to wash down highly praised street food influenced dishes. What with the great wave of craft bars opening around the city, Bundobust's unassuming bare brick walls and chipboard tables don’t give it cause to stand out; but a stock of local and international drinks with a criminally affordable food menu provide more than enough reason to visit this bar, just down the road from the station.
