The Pavilion has been entertaining audiences for over 100 years.

Designed back in 1904, little of the structure or decorative style has changed. The art deco stained windows and marble mosaic flooring is all part of the original design of The Pavilion. Memories of performances from the distant past are remembered through a collection of relics, proudly framed and displayed along various corridor walls.

The theatre space also remains in its traditional glory – with three tiers of ruby red seats arranged into stalls, a dress circle and a balcony.

As an original variety theatre, The Pavilion offers more than just the musicals and theatre productions you’d expect from a city centre playhouse; magicians, hypnotists and all of the big names in stand-up comedy are all also on the bill. What's more, each year the theatre stages an extravagant pantomime, going head-to-head with other Glasgow theatres for the accolade of best Christmas panto.
