Victoria Park

Victoria Park is surely one of Glasgow's prettiest parks. That little bit further out than Kelvingrove, it's not quite as busy on sunny days – i.e. it's the ideal place if you like a bit of peace and quiet with your strolling or sunbathing. Victoria Park is home to Fossil Grove – very, very old fossillised trees. So old, in fact, that they're some of the oldest in the world. The park also has has a nice little pond (although it's best to avoid it if you're not a fan of swans), tennis courts and bowling greens. And on Saturday mornings, you can even take part in a gentle 5k around the park, as part of the Park Run series of runs.
