Pollok Park is Glasgow's largest inner-city park, spanning 146 hectares of land in the south side of the city. It's got a long and illustrious history, having been in the hands of the Maxwell family for over 700 years before it was gifted to the city. There's loads to see and do in the park, including the Burrell Collection, which houses art from far and wide. There's also Highland cows, horses, play areas and mountain biking trails. You could easily spend a day in Pollok Park and still not discover all its wee nooks and crannies – basically it's got a bit of everything, whether you want to picnic, to have a quiet stroll or to get active.
