With Nithsdale Road already playing host to several of the South Side’s favourite destinations, the sunflower-yellow storefront of Pot Luck makes for a sweet little addition.

A cosy café with just a few tables and modest nine-to-five opening hours, Pot Luck knows that size isn’t everything. The place is uncluttered, with just a few chic design touches here and there, resulting in a look that’s minimalist but bursting with personality. The menu takes the same approach, offering all of your brunch and breakfast staples but with a dash of oddness and invention to brighten things up above the norm. You can get an excellent rice bowl or some tasty scrambled eggs, or you can go a little more adventurous and check out the plum hot cakes.
