Mugdock Country Park

Cafes! Campsies! Castles! Cycling! Mugdock Park has all the C's – and so much more. Ten miles outside Glasgow, taking a trip to Mugdock feels like going into the wild – this is a seriously big park. Nearby Milngavie is the start of the West Highland Way, and Mugdock offers great views of the Campsies. There's loads to do, from cycling to orienteering. You can even go horse riding, if that gives you any sense of the sheer size of this park. It's a great place to set the dogs (and kids) loose, and the cafe does a pretty decent scone. Oh, and it has a castle. Did we mention the castle?!
