Fopp

Located in the West End, this branch of Fopp is one of just eight Fopp stores left in the UK. A terrible shame indeed, as they are some of the best shops for buying cheap music, films and books.

It's not all bad news though - luckily, Glasgow is blessed enough to play host to two of these eight stores. Hurrah! Byres Road Fopp stocks a massive selections of films and TV boxsets, with an extensive range of world cinema titles. They house a wealth of CDs and a small collection of vinyl, alongside a concise range of classic novels and modern favourites, all priced reasonably cheaply.

In addition to the music they also offer music merchandise such as mugs, t-shirts, posters and headphones. Ooh, and more good news - they also avoid the nonsense of the 99p price tag. No more clattery coppers littering your rucksack pockets - only reasonably priced music, film and merch.

In short, it is immensely difficult to leave Fopp without buying something.
