The Berkeley Suite

The Berkeley Suite opened in September 2011 as a late night bar and ballroom. Spread over two floors of a previous Victorian public house near Charing Cross, it epitomises old school glamour. The marble panelling, Art Deco chandeliers, arched windows and specially-commissioned artwork create a beautiful setting for enjoying drinks of an evening. The venue is available to hire for club nights, gigs and private events and the dynamic space has already been utilised for a number of different uses including various live DJ sets, LP launches and a number of events at the Glasgow Short Film Festival. It was also chosen as the venue for the Glasgow debut of Classic Album Sundays' sell-out sessions; where an album is played in full to a silent audience in order to hear music as closely as possible to the way an artist intended it.
