Jinty McGuinty’s has been an Ashton Lane institution for over 20 years. The Irish bar is traditionally laid out with a fireplace, lots of mahogany and quotes from famous Irish writers on the furniture. It’s a small pub with just a few seating alcoves, so it’s more than likely you’ll be standing – but, ne'er fear, there are plenty of shelves and barrels to rest your drink upon. Luckily their large outdoor terrace doubles the capacity of the pub. It’s also just about the best beer garden on the lane, and thanks to the abundance of outdoor heaters and delicious mulled cider served through the festive season, it’s popular the year round.

Jinty McGuinty’s offers a concise selection of no frills draught, including Guinness, obviously, as well as bottled beers and spirits. With prices cheaper than most of the lane and live music most nights of the week, this Irish pub will long continue as an Ashton Lane institution.
