This music shop is a Manchester institution. Since opening in 1857 it has been the city’s leading musical instrument supplier, selling pianos, guitars and orchestral instruments. Located on Deansgate, the store is spread over five floors — three of which are showrooms -— and stocks instruments sourced from the finest manufacturers all over the world. Widely considered to be one of the best music shops in the country, Forsyths hold the biggest display of new and acoustic pianos in the country, and also stock over 300 acoustic, electric and specialist guitars. Their sales department also sells over 30,000 titles available in sheet music, as well as hundreds of accessories for all instruments. Forsyths also provide a quality instrument repair service, offering a quick service by their own tuners, luthiers and instrument technicians.
