An iconic part of Manchester's history, Factory 251 is an often heaving student-centric nightclub. Opened and categorised as part of the Factory Records output in the 1980's, the club is based in the label's old headquarters and is currently owned by Joy Division's Peter Hook, who reopened the space in 2010. It's typically a student's first choice on a night out because of the unbelievably cheap drinks prices and low-priced entry, while the venue's resident DJs cover pretty much every genre of music across its three floors, from indie, to dance, to Motown. FAC251 is home to the F//CK Thursdays club night, which is great if Fridays aren't all that important to you, and it's also occasionally used as a gig venue, with promoters such as This Feeling using it to showcase upcoming musical talent, but it's the regular club nights running Thursday to Saturday that are the most popular.
