The Waterside Arts Centre in Sale is a hub for creative talent, supporting local community events as well as welcoming touring acts. The centre comprises of a theatre, art gallery, studio and creative workspace, and holds film screenings, live music, stand up comedy, and drama. Part of the Sale Waterside Complex by the Bridgewater Canal, it hosts workshops and masterclasses for budding talent, and supports all aspects of creativity emerging from Sale and the rest of Greater Manchester. The community-focused centre is home to a range of classes, from dance to drama, and poetry to tai chi, and also houses a free gallery exhibiting both local and more renowned artists across its three rooms. Music groups such as the Sale Chamber Orchestra and the Trafford Youth Orchestra use the centre as a base and regularly perform there, and its family orientated programme provides plenty to do for people of all ages.
