Roja Pinchos is a Spanish restaurant on Berry Street – with a twist. It's not your typical tapas-style eatery; this refreshing new take on Spanish cuisine comes straight out of Barcelona and is the first of its kind in Liverpool. True to its namesake, Rojas specialises in pinchos, which are Northern-Spanish versions of tapas, and they're all served on sticks.

The best thing about the place is that you can eat like a king without breaking the bank. Everything on a tall stick (usually hot food prepared in the kitchen) will set you back just £3 and small-stick pinchos cost just £1.50 – you'll find them at the bar where you can help yourself to as many as you please. The menu is always changing, too, so you'll never grow tired of frequenting this little gem.

It's the type of restaurant that will please every type of diner, with apetites big or small. We love to come here for a few pinchos to get a decent lining on the stomach before a Saturday on Seel Street. Before you go, head downstairs to Abajo for a few swift cavas or speciality gins. It's open every Friday and Saturday from 5:30pm till Midnight. Afterwards you can then pop next door to Berry & Rye... If you can locate the door.
