Go Slow Cafe

Located just on the edge of Govanhill along Victoria Road, Go Slow is a super-relaxed coffee and veggie snack house. As well as catering for locals, the café is a second home for the area’s consistently vibrant arts community. This brings a lot of music, art, and more besides to this cozy venue – so if you’re thinking about checking it out, it's worth seeing if anything's happening there on the night. 

Inside, Go Slow is a gorgeous mess of books, board games and mis-matched decor. Food-wise, you'll find a good selection of standards, carefully-prepared and lovingly made by café owner Rose and the rest of the ultra-friendly staff. The coffee is crisp, neat and very drinkable. Go Slow is just one of those places that every suburb should have – perfect for rainy days, first dates, lazy weekends, or just killing time with a good book. However, we must warn you to stay away from the IQ puzzle game. It's tough, merciless in its judgment, and guaranteed to ruin you day.
