Stairway

Situated on Union Street in the city centre, Stairway is one of Glasgow's newer live music venues. Inside, it's decked out with black walls, scarlet booths and funky neon lighting. Depending on who's performing on any given evening, there’s a big space in front of the stage that functions as a dancefloor, mosh-pit or just somewhere to watch live bands. Stairway hosts clubs seven nights a week, devoted to everything from dark indie to classic rock, and often interspersed with live music. Additionally, every Monday is instrumental jam night, an evening of non-vocal jamming where musicians can rock up with their instruments and just see where the music takes 'em.
