Oddfellows

Following its £4 million face-lift, Oddfellows is retro chic, upstairs contains an orange space-age bar, booths and mirrored tables. Lime green walls and furniture dominates the downstairs drinking/dining space with illustrative designs and artwork covering the walls. Appealing largely to the student market, the centrally located venue offers various deals and events, with live music several nights of the week. Food wise the kitchen is operated by nearby Monster Mash, and the menu is made up of the simple, hearty food that it is known for with offerings such as chicken and mushroom pie or burgers. If you want a quiet pint or bite to eat in the middle of the day Oddfellows is for you. It's wacky without being cheesy and the rigorous planning and substantial investment have paid off creating a unique venue whose atmosphere is relaxed, quirky and fun. Not so cheap for non students though.
