Undoubtedly one of the best gastropubs in Scotland, The Vintage is a very stylish addition to Leith's pubbing and dining scene. With chesterfield sofas and desk-like dining tables, it’s a lovely place to sink a few craft beers and get involved in some charcuterie – where you’re more likely to get a board of food than a plate, but that's all the better for sharing we suppose.
Grazing is actively encouraged, but there’s also an á la carte menu if – to quite a certain Joey Tribbiani – you don't share food. Look forward to big ol' hunks of meat and burgers you could take a nap upon. There's also one of the best beer lists in the 'Burg, and Leith locals get a stellar discount off food and drink if they can prove their link to the area.
Doing a bit of research in the hope of finding a top notch pub, or got a date on the cards and hoping to find the perfect location to impress your co-diner? Well, you've hit the gastropubbing jackpot with The Vintage - nice one! The Skinny's annual Food and Drink Survey had The Vintage pinned as a victor within the categories of Best Pub and Best Newcomer in 2014 (check out the full list of 2014 winners to see who else made the cut). In 2015, this utter champ pulled it off again, landing a spot within Best Pub for a second time, and two further victories in the categories of Best Date Place and Best of Europe.
