Gosh diggity darning needles. Looking for some tasty art exhibitions in Edinburgh? Photography-wise, Stills is is bloomin' great. If you fancy some lovely sculpture and installation, get a load of The Fruitmarket Gallery. Those wishing to quench a thirst for something a bit different should make their way over to Dovecot studios and check out some absolutely badass tapestry, and film buffs can catch a decent bit of cinema at Cameo.

Situated at the top of Leith, The Old Ambulance Depot was less of a gallery, and more of a creative space that played home to various exhibitions of exciting new artists' work. As a space for established and emerging local, British and International artists to showcase their oft boundary-nudging work across all practices – from photography and film to installation and painting – it was always a unique little gallery space definitely worth keeping an eye on. You'll be missed, Old Ambulance Depot.
