The Joker & The Thief

The Joker & The Thief, conveniently cushioned in at the 'Top of the Walk', is living proof that sometimes you cannae beat a good old fashioned, unpretentious pub.

Occupying the spot which once housed The Brunswick Ale House, The Joker is a cosy wee bar with a homely feel and a decent range of drinks on tap.  The leather arm chairs and bench seating make for a comfortable base to whittle away an evening over a few bevvies, and there's a nice area upstairs which can be booked out for private functions and gatherings.

The pub hosts a lively quiz on a Wednesday night from 7pm, and if you're feeling flush after a lucky cash jackpot win, you might want to treat yourself to a pizza, freshly delivered from the ever-popular Origano Go.  A pint, a slice and a welcoming atmosphere? Sometimes the simplest formulas are the best.
