Cord Bar

Another place to be merry in Manchester's Northern Quarter, offering a modern twist on the traditional pub. Cord is a trendy bar popular for post-work drinks and weekend hangouts. Tucked away on a little road off Tib Street, the bar’s exposed brickwork and wooden floors are typically Northern Quarter, but that’s not a bad thing. Gather round a table (made from beer barrels and crates, obviously) and kick back with a locally brewed beer or one of their much-loved cocktails. Feeling peckish? They serve food throughout the day, created by their sister venue Simple Bar & Kitchen. It’s pretty standard bar food — burgers, nachos and ribs — but it’s certainly not to be sniffed at and is perfect for a meal out with friends. Their basement room is available to hire for private events, and it won’t cost a penny!
