As you may expect, Bakerie in the Northern Quarter serves freshly baked bread, as well as specialising in wine. This Northern Quarter restaurant isn’t anything pretentious, serving up simple dishes made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. On their daytime menu you’ll find sandwiches, pasta, chilli and more, and during the evening, Bakerie serve stews, soups, curries and salads, all with a side order of something from their extensive choice of fresh bread, of course. Their Bakerie boards are also very popular, with a choice of seafood, meat, cheese, or a vegan option. There’s also a tapas style Sunday roast board, which isn’t something you’ll find anywhere else. Behind the bar, Bakerie stocks over 90 different wines, so there’s a high chance that you’ll be able to try something new.
Bakerie was named as a winner in the Best Place For A First Date category in the North West in The Skinny Food and Drink Survey 2014. Check out the other winners as voted for by The Skinny readers and read our feature on another winner in the Best Place For A First Date category.
