The RMS Titanic Hotel (also known as Albion House) is a Titanic-themed hotel, bar and restaurant opposite the Albert Dock. It's a grade II listed building and is most famous for being the former headquarters of the White Star Line. When news of the sinking of the Titanic reached the offices, officials read the names of the deceased from the balcony. In 2014 Albion House was converted into a Titanic-themed hotel after being vacant for many years.
However, you don't have to be staying here to enjoy its wonderful surroundings. Pop in for a drink or something to eat at the Carpathia Bar & Restaurant — the hotel's rooftop champagne bar that's named after the RMS Carpathia which is best known for saving 705 people from the sinking Titanic. It offers a Titanic-themed cocktail menu (including a drink called 'Very Sinkable Molly Brown') and fabulous views of the docks. Booking a table in advance is recommended but this isn't an indication that the drinks will be expensive — it's fairly reasonably priced and table service is as standard as an extra treat.
