This independent craft brewery is a small, family run business that began in 2008, and you’re likely to find their beer in many pubs and bars throughout Liverpool. Living by the motto “quality over compromise”, Liverpool Organic Brewery uses the finest ingredients, including organic malt and whole hop flowers, to make over 20 varieties of regular, occasional and seasonal cask ales and bottles. As well as bitter, stout and pale ale, the brewery also produce a selection of flavoured session ales including honey beer. A number of their ales are also named after famous Liverpudlians, including feminist social reformer Josephine Butler and abolitionist William Roscoe. The brewery also hold their own bi-monthly brewery tours, where you’ll learn how the team make all of their beers from start to finish, and you’ll also get an opportunity to taste an unlimited amount of beer. The brewery also takes part in a number of events, including the Bombed Out Church Beer Festival and the St George’s Hall Winter Ale Festival.
