Glasgow's city centre is a hub for unhealthy food on the go, with a deep fried mars bar being easier to come by than a decent salad - unless you know exactly where to look.
Enter Prep Fitness Kitchen.
Situated on Bath Street but within glaringly obvious sight of the ever-busy shopping mile of Buchanan Street, its attention-grabbing store front is a god-send for health and fitness enthusiasts, slap bang in the middle of town. It's truly urban chic, with minimal but stylish furnishings dominated by granite, wood and steel splashed with colour.
The menu is split into sections, with main meals - baked potatoes, omelette, salad and protein pancakes - and base ingredients from various categories - proteins, carbs and veg - available to combine. This way, you can customise your meal to fit in with your own personal get fit masterplan, be it for muscle building or that summer bod. There's a colourful key on the menu with symbols which allude to different fitness goals, and which items on the menu to go for in line with those goals. Every item on the menu has been entered into popular app My Fitness Pal too, so you can more accurately log your intake.
Coffee, tea, water, coconut water, protein shakes and pressed juices are also available to quench your thirst, handy considering it's just down the street from the gym.
