Crolla’s Gelataria is in the unfortunate position of being just two doors down from Nardini’s, probably Scotland’s most famous ice-cream name. It fights a good fight, though. This little venue has a 50s Americana feel to it, with a shiny red counter and tiny tables for two. There’s an impressive number of ice-creams to choose from, as well as coldstone creations, where you choose your own ice-cream, toppings and sauces. All your choices are then mushed up together, and presented to you on a plate, with a Crolla’s flake: a good choice for the indecisive, and the big kids amongst us. Crolla’s also serve a decent menu of savouries, including bagels, baked potatoes and baguettes.
