The Beerhive

The Beerhive on Rodney Street has been voted by The Skinny’s Food and Drink Survey 2016 as one of the best food and drink shops in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Based in New Town, the Beerhive is an independent beer and wine merchant which looks to provide customers with a range of quality beers and wines at a range of prices and to suit any occasion. In addition, it succeeds in being delightfully un-daunting to the average customer (thank goodness). Looking like you know exactly what you’re looking for in an off-licence can be tiring, so The Beerhive put a lot of effort into customer satisfaction and allowing people to explore the wines and beers without feeling overwhelmed, whilst offering a helping hand if need be. After all, there is a lot of beers and wines to chose from, from all over the world in fact, as well as some hailing from closer to home. As well as bottled beer, the Beerhive also features ‘the kegerator’. Draught beer from the kegerator is bottled in store for you to take home, and, once slupred, you can then return your bottles and come back and try the next keg, which are changed every few weeks.
