Back in 2008, local girl Erica Moore decided that it was high time our stuffy perception of the traditional British cuppa was given a good old shake up. After an epic pilgrimage for some tea-spiration, travelling across China, India, Sri Lanka and Japan, she came back fully informed and ready to ruffle some feathers, and with the opening of her Frederick Street tea room, eteaket was borne.
Nine years on, with the flagship cafe bursting at the seams, eteaket have opened up a store on Rose Street and it's every bit as great as you could imagine. In their own words, it is a "designated space where we can showcase what exactly we can do with tea."
Naturally, the store is chockablock with their eteaket's own signature loose leaf teas, but there's also a nifty range of merchandise to browse too, from modern tea pots to stylish tableware. Perfect if you're looking to treat someone. Or yourself. Why not?
Using the special Tea Syphon, customers are given the chance to experiment with flavours, and with tasting sessions offered seven days a week, you can rest assured that you will leave the store a connoisseur in all things tea. Tea-lightful!
