After 20 years of introducing Brits to the joys of ramen, gyozas and edamame, wagamama has finally found its way to the 'burgh. Inspired by the fast-paced atmosphere of Japanese noodle bars, your food is zapped through to the kitchen on an electronic handheld and dishes are served as soon as they are cooked, irrespective of the overall order. Large, bench-style tables mean you might have to share if it gets busy (and it frequently does), although they do tend to space people apart as much as they can. Tasty food a notch above your usual chain fare... Not for shy noodle slurpers.
