Kim's Mini Meals

Kim's is a family-run restaurant in the truest sense of the word. The story goes that the chef – aka Mrs Kim, or simply Mum (as the menu says) – was so in demand with family and friends that she thought she might as well open a wee restaurant. And with father and son waiting on you, it does indeed feel like an extension of someone's dining room, in the very best way possible. There's doily tablecloths, beautiful hand-stitched chop stick holders, mismatched and expensive china and, most importantly, delicious home-cooked food. If you're unfamiliar with Korean fare there's also a helpful little photo album that explains each dish. Take note, though – the place is tiny, with only about six tables, so if you're a large group you best book in advance. There's also no alcohol license, but you can BYOB for a £3 corkage fee. As Kim's website says: 'Making people happy makes us happy!'... Done.
