Jacobs Artisan Bakery and Coffeehouse

A family-run artisan bakery, Jacobs started life in 2008 and now has two retail outlets in Edinburgh, with mouth-watering patisserie decorating the window spaces of each. Jacobs produces all of its products in its own bakeries and creates sourdough breads, pastries and about 20 types of handmade cakes and chocolates daily. As a restaurant, bakery and patisserie, Jacobs also offers a selection of fresh salads, soups and breakfasts which can be enjoyed in both its Haymarket and South Bridge outlets. They makes a real effort to produce quality goods; its flour is sourced locally by Scottish millers Hutchisons, its dairy by small producer Quothquan, and its patisserie ingredients from the continent. Creating bread and patisserie on a daily basis is labour intensive and Jacobs certainly does produce fantastic results (aka we wanna eat it all).
