A wonderful little treasure trove of a Turkish restaurant, Hanedan's interior comes complete with mirrors, twinkling tea-lights and colourful tiling reminiscent of Istanbul's grand bazaar-style. It is always bustling, with head chef and owner Gursel Bah effortelessly juggling mezze platters, tending the grill and chatting to customers. The food is mouth-wateringly delicious: think comforting moussaka, lamb and chicken kebabs, cannellini bean salad, kofte, hummous, spinach and feta parcels, and lovely, buttery rice. And you'd be advised to finish that off with sweet baklave and a traditional Turkish coffee (served dark, sugary, and thick like syrup). All-in-all, Hanedan's is a must-go for the uninitiated, and a must-keep-going for those already in the know.
