Space Artworks

Space Artworks on Morningside Road is an art gallery and shop with a unique story. The art and craftwork available to view and purchase has been created by artists with disabilities through the organisation of Space Artworks. Artists involved with Space Artworks come together to create their artwork alongside other makers, which can then be sold and exhibited in the gallery premises.

As well as gallery promotion for artists, Space Artworks also offers mentorship programmes for adults wanting to develop their skills, community skills workshops in painting, dressmaking, sewing and crafts, and specialist art and design workshops for adults with physical or mental health issues, as well as adults with learning disabilities. The aim of Space Artworks is to promote the work of adults with long-term health conditions and to reach out to the wider community to promote art and creativity in everybody. Artists are encouraged to contact Space Artworks if they feel their passion could benefit from the space, mentorship and artistic platform that the organisation offers. All-in-all, it's a lovely space full of work from several artistic disciplines, making a fantastic addition to Morningside’s creative shops.
