Owl & Lion Gallery

The OWL & LION Gallery opened its doors for the first time on November 1st, 2007. Being the latest addition to the Edinburgh Art scene, the Gallery is a joint venture of Isabelle Ting and Edward McGowan, both graduates of the Edinburgh College of Art ‘06.

Situated on the edge of the (in)famous West Port, the intimate venue comprises a gallery and retail space, along with an onsite studio space dedicated to the creation and design of bespoke books and the very popular OWL & LION bags. Besides handmade bags and jewellery, the gallery also specialise in traditional bookbinding by Florence - trained Isabelle Ting.

Gallery events include showcities for young artists, jewellers and already established artists from the UK and abroad. These are supplemented by seasonal collections, exhibitions of handmade OWL & LION bags and books of all shapes and sizes.

The OWL & LION seeks to blend art, commerce and creative living by continuous collaborations with artists from various disciplines to create unique exhibitions with an innate style, creative challenges and consistent quality of workmanship.
